Goodness this week was hard.

I realized this week what a mission can have in store for you mentally, physically, and spiritually. Friday & Saturday I was completely lost. I Felt like I didn’t belong, like 2 years is an eternity. It was very straining on my heart and mind.

Later that day we did an exchange. I was with Elder Kearsley. He is a legend, and he helped make me feel a lot better. I had a prompting to visit our friend Maricela, when we got to her house, she was really struggling. Her life is incredibly hectic, she is seeking for peace in her life. We taught her about the atonement of Christ, and how He knows exactly what we are all feeling. We showed her a video of Jeffery R. Holland speaking on how Christ knows our struggles, and loves us more than we can imagine. I could see the comfort and joy in Maricelas eyes as she watched that video. It was in that moment that I realized…

THIS is why the struggle of missionary life is worth it. THIS is why we get up every morning at 6:30, this is why we serve… To bring peace into the lives of others, to help others feel the love of God.

I hope everyone has an amazing thanksgiving this week! I would invite you all to always have a prayer of gratitude in your hearts this week as you remember the blessings in your lives. Remember, you can only be as happy as you are grateful.

I love you all so much, happy thanksgiving!
