Today I will be spending my last day in Royal City, after 2 unforgettable, lifechanging years of service to the Lord, and the people of various countries. I am in awe of the amount of people that come here to the United States looking for a better life for their families, and the amount of these people that I was able to meet on my mission. I never would have thought that serving state side would have been so foreign hahaha. How grateful I am to have been an instrument in the Lords hands over these last couple years, and oh how much I have learned.ย

I think of all the things I have learned, there are a few that stick out just a little bit more. One, is that we are nothing in our own strength, and if we rely solely on ourselves, it wonยดt take long for us to fall. We must put all of our trust in God, and “Lean not on our own understanding.” Doing so will help us have strength through tough times. Two, is that it doesn’t matter who the person is or what they’ve done to us, our job is to love and forgive unconditionally. Christ forgave everyone, even those who tortured and crucified him. Three is that, everything in our church doctrine leads back to Jesus Christ, he is the source of truth and light, and in the day he returns to reign on the earth, he will be the light thereof, and we will have no need for any other source of light.

On a mission, you get to know a place and the people who live there incredibly well. I have been quite priviledged to get to make thousands of friends over the past years, many of which have left a lasting impact on my life.ย

I know that this is the true church because the Spirit of God has made that known to me, and because there is no other church on the world, that has brought forth the same amount of good fruits as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In 3 Nephi 27:8 Christ teaches that His church will carry his name. In Efesians 2:19-20, and 4:11-14 we are taught that Christs church will be built upon the foundation of Apostoles and Prophets, and in John 3:16-17 we read that God loves us so much that He sent His only Begotten Son as a sacrifice to us, so that we can return to live with Him; in Helaman 5:9 we learn that through Christs atonement is the only way that we can be saved, and ultimately progress towards exhaltation in the Celestial Kingdom through the holy order of Matrimony.

I owe my heart to God for how he has changed my life, and for the amount of blessings he has given me. I will miss the Yakima, Washington mission greatly, but I know that I have left a piece of myself here that will stay forever.ย

I love you all, and look forward to seeing you shortly!ย
