Hey Everyone!
This first week was CRAZY, I dont even know where to begin. We spent the whole day on Tuesday flying. We were delayed in Phoenix and didn’t make it to Mexico until around 9pm. The first day after that was incredibly busy, we spent the whole day attending meeting after meeting regarding the new missionaries. We were exhausted the first couple days here.
On top of the stress that comes with learning Spanish, and having 16 hour days of work, I was selected as district leader at the end of my first day here, which means me and my companion are in charge of making sure the whole district is doing well, attending extra meetings etc. Just as I got the hang of being district leader, my branch president chose me and my companion to be the Zone Leaders, which now means we attend and lead MORE meetings and now help oversee all 4 districts in our zone.
Its been hard, but I’ve already seen the blessings flowing-in from working my hardest and dedicating time to learning and growing. Yesterday as we were having a district meeting, we were sharing our testimonies, and I was able to feel the power of the spirit stronger than I’ve ever felt in my life. It helped me come to my senses, and after a hard week of adjusting to Missionary life, I finally feel confident in what I am doing, and ready to face the next 4 weeks here without fear or stress.
It has been the time of my life already out here. My district is incredible, we are already so close to each other. It feels like home. I know as we endure our challenges and look towards God, he will bless us exceedingly, and fill us with his power.
I miss you all so much, I hope you are all doing well. I love getting emails and knowing how everyone is doing so send lots!
Love you all.
