Que pasa mi gente?
Apologies, for it has indeed been eons since my last email. Quick update:
Went back up to one of my favorite areas last weekend, which is Oroville, it is about 3 hours north of here, near Canada. We had some wonderful exchanges with the Elders serving there. It was great to go back and see some of my favorite people. Big shoutout to the ward up there! They are the best!
We had the opportunity to be here for the baptism of our friend Jose Boris. We met him on our first day here, and he is from El Salvador. What an incredible man he is. I have never seen anyone more ready to start on the path that leads to eternal happiness than him. I wish everybody could meet him, he is one of the kindest, humble, and loving people I have had the chance to meet. The baptism went incredibly well and we are looking forward to getting him to the temple soon.
This week, positivity has been on my mind a lot, and how we should do everything we can to steer away from the negative – or better said – pessimistic way of thinking and acting. Sure, there are a million things we could complain about, I’m not going to make a list, but there are much more wonderful, beautiful things to be happy and grateful about. It is really easy to allow the Evil One to fool us into being negative, and you will notice how you feel when you are acting as such. Miserable. Think about what makes you happy and what you are grateful for this week, life is what we make of it. So make it good.
Todo bien aquí en Quincy amigos. Que disfruten la semana!
