Hey everyone!

We had our transfer calls yesterday, and I will be staying here in Yakima, training a new missionary.

The Lord always finds a way to surprise me, I don’t exactly know how I’m going to train a new missionary right off the bat, especially because there is a lot of spanish here, and my spanish is not the best yet hahaha. But I am excited to learn and grow from these next couple transfers here in Yakima.

This week was wonderful. We got lots of rain, and had a lot of positive interactions with people. Elder Koster is packing up his things to head home as he has completed his mission. I’m very excited for him and I have learned many things from him this transfer here.

I was reading in Alma this morning, and there were a few scriptures that stood out to me in chapter 58. This is when Helaman, Gid, and Teomner are going to take the city of Manti by pulling a trick on the Lamanites. Their army was very small, and the Lamanites army was much larger. Because of this, they were very worried.

Verses 10-12 say: “Therefore we did pour out our souls in prayer to God, that he would strengthen us and deliver us from the hands of our enemies. Yea, and it came to pass the the Lord our God did visit us with assurances that he would deliver us; yea, insomuch that he did speak peace to our souls, and did grant unto us great faith, and did cause us that we should hope for our deliverance in him. And we did take courage.”

There are many obstacles in our day to day lives. And some simply cannot be overcome without the help of God. As we use the divine power of prayer, kneeling before God with the smallest sliver of faith and hope that He can help us, he will. And we will give us the courage to press on.

I love you all very much, keep being awesome.
