Alright! We are in Washington now!!
I’m super stoked to be here, we had a long day of travel on Friday. We were assigned our areas and companions as soon as we got to the mission home, and then we were shipped off to our areas.
My first area is West Wenatchee, and its awesome here. I got to meet the ward, the bishop and stake president, and I’ve taught a lot of lessons already. Our first day knocking doors we saw a house catch on fire, and two drunk guys with a table FULL of empty beer cans, one of them holding a gun, you can imagine we probably didn’t stick around for long. Some places here are super-hood.
My new comp is awesome, his name is Elder Priday. He’s the Zone leader for the area, and he is an awesome trainer. I am super lucky. We’re in an apartment of four missionaries, one from Venezuela, his name is Elder Viloria Longhi. I was able to spend a day knocking doors with him because our comps had a zone leader meeting in Yakima. So me and Elder Viloria (two brand new missionaries) were on our own for the day. Luckily he speaks fluent spanish because i would have been dunzo without him.
Spiritual thought:
This week I prayed…A LOT
It was very stressful being in a new place with new people and a new companion. I felt super scared and lost my first night here. So, I prayed sincerely from my heart many times, and the answers came. They always come because God is always listening. Now, he doesn’t always provide an answer you’d expect, so you need to have faith that he will provide you with an answer that He knows you need most. It’s not always what you want, it’s what He wants for you. This week I’d invite all of you to get on your knees and pray from your hearts for an answer to something you need in your lives, trust God to give you an answer based off of what HE wants for you, and I promise you will receive an answer.
I love you all tons!
Please write, I miss you guys.
